Julieta Venegas- Te Amo!

Julieta Venegas was an amazing treat at Outsidelands and I am so happy I got the chance to see her live! She is a truely great song writer and performer.

Vegas Candy

Recently I took a trip to Las Vegas with the sis to celebrate my 21st bday! We got to explore the city including the fabulous shopping. We found Vegas candy at the Sugar Factory, a super fun candy shoppe/restaurant, as well as at the The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace :). So I got inspired, why not have a little bit of fashion candy too?

We got some scoffs when we roamed the 114 degree streets with out jewel encrusted lollipops sticking out the side of our mouths. It was like Baby spice ran into a showgirl, and when the atoms split, a lollipop was created. I think the new Chanel palette is a safer choice for avoiding public scrutiny. It might actually grant the opposite effect. 

 The Sugar Factory was also home to endless other sugar based play things. The cake sandwiches might be the work of an evil genius. 

 Check out these crazy cool Violent Lips temporary lip tattoos. Perfect for many San Francisco events. 

All the Furry People- Outsidelands

Fur was everywhere at Outsidelands '11... Everywhere. 

Ellie Goulding

Notice how some of the audience are wearing yellow star shaped glasses? Ellie Goulding was throwing those off the stage. People were going crazy, people including me. I needed those free plastic glasses so much that I leaped up and back for a pair thrown over my head. I missed them and fell. Shameful. 

Wake me up, then break me up

Ellie Goulding killed it on the Sutro stage at Outsidelands. She pounded the drums and belted out her songs. Total amazement, left us starry eyed, and easily converted many newbies into fans.

This Sunday at Outsidelands, Julieta Venegas, a Grammy winning recording artist, will be performing. She's a bad ass mexicana pop/folk singer with a tropical Alanis Morisette feel. She's not as well known in the states but definitely a show worth seeing. Check out her video for "Bien o mal" above.
